The fifth cut-off list announced by Delhi University on Saturday has little to offer for students aspiring to get into the university, as many colleges closed admissions for most courses.

Colleges that have closed admissions in Arts and Commerce in nearly all courses include Shri Ram College of Commerce, Lady Shri Ram College, Ramjas College, Maitreyi College, Kirori Mal College, Indraprastha College for Women and Venkateshwara College.

But some top colleges are still offering popular courses in their fifth cut-off list.
Hindu College has set a marker of 96.5-98 per cent for BA (Hons), and 95.5-97 per cent for Economics and BA (Hons) English. Hansraj College has also issued a fifth cut-off for these two courses.

Requiring percentage between 93 and 96 per cent, BCom (Hons) is still up for grabs at four colleges – Indraprastha College for Women, PGDAV College and SGTB Khalsa College.
In most of the other colleges, seats are up for grabs for SC, ST and OBC category students.

In the fifth list, Gargi College, Ram Lal Anand College (Evening), Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Institute of Home Economics do not feature, as they are yet to come up with their cut-off lists.

For students who want to study pure sciences, there are limited opportunities for general category students. Among a few colleges that are still offering Maths (Hons), Hansraj College has set the cut-off at 95.75 per cent, while Kirori Mal College has posted 95-95.25 per cent cut-off.

Except for Hindu College, all have closed admissions in general category for Physics (Hons). Similarly, Chemistry (Hons) is on offer only at Daulat Ram College.

While Hindu College has set the cut-off at 96.33 per cent, Daulat Ram College has set the marker for admissions at 93.66 per cent.

Only four colleges have seats left in Computer Science, which is the most sought-after among Science courses. Hansraj College in North Campus has posted the highest cut-off of 97-98 per cent in Computer Science.
