Terror plot: another held in Mumbai

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Maharashtra police arrested one more person from Mumbai in connection with a terror-plot to target cities like Mumbai, Pune, Solapur and Satara.

A magistrate court has remanded the suspect Avinash Pawar (30), who works in Mumbai, to ATS custody till August 31.

So far, five people, including Avinash, have been arrested in the case.

The four others are Vaibhav Raut (40), Sharad Kalaskar (25), Sudhanva Ghondalekar (39) and Shrikant Pangarkar— a two-time corporator and a former Shiv Sena member.

Kalaskar during the interrogation had revealed the name of Sachin Andhure, who was arrested by the CBI.

Kalaskar and Andhure had driven a motorcycle and shot rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar.
