"Our partnership with the Indian travel trade fraternity has played a very vital role in our success in India and the travel agent network continues to be central to our growth plans in the country, Club Med's Indian General Manager, Mumtaz Moiz, said.
"Our focus will be on key markets like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and New Delhi and we will enhance our operations as well as strengthen our partnership with both the travel trade and customers," she added.
After a year of incorporating an office in India, Club Med India reported an exceptional growth in sales for the Winter Season of 2010 (travel period between November 1, '09 and April 30, '10) and is continuing to grow at a rate of 200 per cent in revenue till date, she said.
Club Med's New Resorts are opening in Taba in Egypt, Buzios in Brazil, Oman and Senegal, this year.
Apart from this, the company has sold 22 super luxury villas in Mauritius, which cost from Euro 1-million to Euro 2-million, she said.
