Industry body Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) and BCIC  has expressed disappointment over HeroMoto Corp India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer choosing neighbouring Andhra Pradesh over Karnataka to set up its unit.

The company’s decision to shift to Andhra Pradesh was apparently necessitated due to inordinate delays in clearances, FKCCI President S Sampathraman said.

Anuj Sharma, Senior Vice-President, BCIC, said, “Having given necessary thrust in the recent industrial policy, this news has come as a great shock and we would urge the state government to take cognizance of the same and undertake suitable measures to attract big ticket investments like Hero Motors.”
