LinkedIn, a US-based professional network with over 35 million members in India, on Wednesday moved to a new office in Bengaluru.
The new office with 222,000 sq feet spread across three floors can accommodate about 800 employees. The facility will house functionally diverse LinkedIn employees, including product and sales teams.
LinkedIn co-founder Allen Blue, who attended the inaugural function, said the company is looking at India, its second biggest market with 35 million users after the US, very seriously. “I am amazed at the entrepreneurial talent in the country and we are open to acquiring startups that make a strategic fit,” he said.
LinkedIn India Country Manager and Head of Product Akshay Kothari said the company’s vision is to create economic opportunity for every member of the workforce. “We see the workplace as an enabler to fulfil the professional goals of our employees and deliver more value to our members,” he said.
