He emphasised the need for introducing English course to the engineers who are on 29 weeks training in the campus here. Addressing batch of 800 engineers who had joined the company newly, Murthy, after whose name the sprawling 325 acre Mysore Development centre campus has been renamed Narayana Murthy Centre of Excellence , from Monday, said, the training programme for entrants should not be cut from the current 29 weeks and asked the directors to extend the training schedule if possible.
He stressed that the quality of intake and meritocracy should be always maintained. Earlier, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director announced the change of name and said “the message of Infosys is, in spite of everything we can create a world class infrastructure in India as long as we have strong leadership.”
