Resil Chemicals, a diversified chemical and performance materials manufacturer, has announced the launch of three intelligent summer garment technologies for textiles — Coolit, Neu Dri and Soladel. These technologies turn one’s everyday garments into a treat for the senses, leaving them cool, dry and clean.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, Ganesh Srinivasan, Chief Technology Officer, Resil Chemicals said, “These technologies are completely safe for garments and the environment, therefore, the quality of the fabric is not altered in anyway, and washing them also becomes very easy. They have been proven to be highly effective after extensive testing; I guess I could say that they are the future of textile finishing. We have spent over one million dollars in developing these technologies. These projects took over five years — from concept to consumer.”
To a question on developing these technologies, he said, “We were the pioneers in innovative textile technology with our anti-odour garment technology, N9 Pure Silver. We soon realised that customers had other pain points when it came to wearer comfort- feeling cool, feeling dry and clean, especially in summer”.
Coolit is a sustainable cooling technology that responds dynamically to body temperature and perspiration, keeping people cool even when on the move. Neu Dri is a drying technology that rapidly wicks perspiration from the skin and transfers moisture to the fabric’s surface, leaving the wearer dry, comfortable, cool and confident. Soladel uses the power of the sun light to peel off any kind of organic dirt, easing the washing process, and preventing your favourite clothes from getting ruined.
Talking about transferring the technologies to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) players or giving this to few players exclusively, he said, “The products are produced by Resil Chemicals and there will be no exclusivity to any specific brand. We are promoting these technologies through communicating in mass media and textile journals, educating brands and consumers through social media and digital marketing.”
Commenting on the pricing aspects, he noted that the pricing depends on the brand which is selling it. One may say the pricing can vary from 5-20% more than conventional products.
