World's leading smartphone-maker Samsung on Thursday (March 11) unveiled the Galaxy M12 in India.
The new Samsung budget handset comes with 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1600p) Infinity-V screen with support for a 90Hz display refresh rate. On the back, it features Haze and Matte effect design to offer good grip and also visually appealing to the eyes. Also, it sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which also doubles up as a power button.
Inside, it comes with Samsung's proprietary Exynos 850 octa-core chipset backed by Mali-G52 GPU, 4GB/6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB (expandable memory up to 1TB), Android 11-based One UI 3.1, triple slots (nano SIM-1 + nano SIM-2 + microSD) and a 6,000mAh battery with Type-C 15W fast charger.
The USP of the Galaxy M12 is the quad-camera module. Samsung says it has incorporated a true 48MP main camera with an ISOCELL GM2 sensor, f/2.0 aperture. It has backed by a 5MP 123-degree ultra-wide camera (f/2.2), 2MP depth for portrait shots, and a 2MP macro camera (f/2.4) for close-up shots. It also comes with LED flash and supports full HD video recording. On the front, it features an 8MP sensor (f/2.2).
Samsung's Galaxy M12 comes in three colors-- black, blue, and white. It will be available in two configurations-- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage-- for Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,499, respectively on Amazon, Samsung.com and authorised retail chains from March 18 onwards.
