Zoom, a communications platform, that assumed significance amidst Covid-19 crisis, announced Zoom Rooms, everywhere workforce innovations, that would promote health and safety at workplaces.
According to a press note from Zoom Video Communications, Zoom Rooms innovations will help organisations safely re-enter the office and sustain an ‘everywhere workforce’.
“Traditional workplaces have evolved and employees and organisations have embraced more places as workspaces. Zoom’s platform enables organisations to put employee health and safety on focus,” the press note states.
“In an effort to ensure the safety of every employee and customer, organisations should address three concerns — others coming to work sick, an overcrowded workplace, and proper ventilation. As the world plans to safely reopen businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and government entities, we focus on innovating across our platform to support their needs,” said Oded Gal, chief product officer of Zoom.
“With Zoom Rooms Controller app on one’s mobile phone, one will have access to additional room controls, including the ability to start or join a meeting and full audio, video, and participant controls. This ensures that individual users can control their meeting room experience from their mobile device, eliminating the need for users to touch the shared in-room controller. With supported cameras, one can see how many people are in a room, in real-time, on Zoom Dashboard and on Scheduling Display, to ensure social distancing mandates,” said Oded Gal.
