Contrary to national level exit polls on Andhra Pradesh, different surveys and exit polls on the poll scene of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states have predicted a slight edge to Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra and a sweep by Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana Lok Sabha elections.
The exit polls except few have predicted that YS Jaganmohan Reddy will have to satisfy with the opposition party status one more time and the new entrant Janasena Party of actor Pawan Kalyan will have to contend with one to two seats.
The Predictions reportedly based on scientific pre and post-poll analysis by various agencies and television channels with the help of Psephalogists have arrived at the estimates that were declared immediately after 6.30 pm on Sunday.
According to former Congress MP Lagadapati Raja Gopal’s RG Flash team survey ruling that the TDP would get at least 110 seats out of the 175 Assembly constituencies which might vary by 10 seats either way. The RG Flash Survey gave 60 seats to YSRCP while others may settle with 5 seats. Lagadapati’s team gave a sorry figure of 3 to 2 seats to others including JSP.
The survey, while predicting 14-16 Lok Sabha seats for Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana, gave 15 seats for TDP in the 25 seat Andhra Loksabha. YSRCP to get 10 seats and others to get only one. Addressing media in Tirupati, Rajagopal Said that his survey was based on a detailed study from the month of January. He said that Amaravati, Polavaram project and, welfare schemes played an important role in the predicted victory for Naidu’s party.
On the other hand, a Hyderabad based survey team called Centre for Psephology Studies (CPS) of eminent psephologist Dr. Venugopala Rao said that that YSRCP was all set to form the next government in Andhra Pradesh and was likely to bag 121 to 130 MLAs seats. It also predicted that YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would get 21 Lok Sabha seats out of 25 in the state. The CPS survey gave 3-4 seats to TDP in LS and 45 to 50 assembly seats. It gave Pawan Kalyan 0-2 Assembly seats.
Another group, Elite Exit poll puts TDP on the top with 106, YSRCP 68, JSP 1 and others nil. Yet another group VDPA associates predicted massive victory for Jagan with 111 seats and a second position for TDP with 54 seats.
