The BJP-Shiv Sena combine is likely to take a strong majority in Maharashtra, according to several exit polls.
The Times Now-VMR exit poll for Maharashtra puts the NDA combine in the lead with 38 seats, while UPA trails with just 10. The poll predicts a seat share for NDA at 48.6 per cent and UPA at 36.5 per cent. Independents and others take the remaining 14.9 per cent
The India Today-My Axis exit poll also puts the NDA in a comfortable position in Maharashtra, with the combine winning 38-42 of the 48 LS seats and the UPA taking 6-10 seats.
The Chanakya exit poll suggests the BJP-Shiv Sena NDA combine will get 38 seats and the UPA will get 10 seats in Maharashtra.
The polls show a small reduction in the NDA's numbers from 2014, where the combine won 43 seats. Maharashtra sends 48 lawmakers to the Lok Sabha.
