After casting her vote on Saturday, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi said that these elections are against dictatorship, to save the constitution, and to save democracy. "I want to urge the people of Delhi to exercise their rights and choose their representative in the Parliament... AAP has always worked for the welfare of women. We installed CCTV cameras to ensure their security, we gave them free bus rides, and recently the CM announced Rs 1000 each for every woman of Delhi every month," Oberoi told ANI.

The overall voter turnout at 3 am was recorded at 44.58% per cent.

PM Modi has no control over his speech: Sanjay Singh

Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'mujra' remark against the opposition parties, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that the prime minister has no control over his speech.

“I have said this time and again that PM Modi’s language doesn’t seem to be that of a man sitting at such a high Constitutional post. He has no control over his speech. It is unfortunate what he said today; no one is taking him seriously in the country and he is disappointed by this fact."

After casting his voting, Congress leader Ajay Maken showed confidence in I.N.D.I.A. bloc winning the polls.

"The people are supporting the I.N.D.I.A. alliance... The words used by PM Modi in the last few election campaigns do not suit the position of Prime Minister of a country... Although it is the time of elections, the PM should maintain the dignity of the position of Prime Minister," he told ANI.

BJP leader calls Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi 'fraudsters'

As Delhi went to polls on Saturday, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, "Two fraudsters in our country need to be exposed. Arvind Kejriwal has voted today for Congress. What is amazing is, that Rahul Gandhi has voted for AAP. And both these leaders are against each other in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal has voted for the biggest frauds, who were involved in the Bofors scam, and those who were accused in the 1984 riots."
