Hyderabad: Union home minister Amit Shah had asked the voters in Telangana to choose between 'Jihad' and 'Vikas' in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Addressing an election rally in Telangana's Bhongir on Thursday, Shah said, “The ensuing elections are about 'Modi Ji versus Rahul Gandhi'; about 'Vote for Jihad' versus 'Vote for Vikas'; about 'family's interests' versus the 'nation's interests'; and about 'Chinese guarantee of Rahul Gandhi' versus 'Bharatiya guarantee of Modi Ji'.”

He had also taken a swipe at A Revanth Reddy government in Telangana. “You gave five years to Revanth Reddy, and he did nothing except turn Telangana into an ATM for the Congress party. Bless us with 10+ seats here, and we will make Telangana the number one state in Bharat. BRS came to power with a promise of ensuring development in Telangana, but all it did was corruption. Modi has made great efforts to boost the textile industry of Bhongir. The textile policy of Modi is very clear. It is aimed at strengthening the channels from 'farm to fibre', 'fibre to factory', 'factory to fashion', and 'fashion to exports',” he added.

He also targeted AICC president, Mallikharjun Kharge.“ Mallikarjun Kharge says that people of Telangana and Rajasthan have nothing to do with Kashmir. Unfortunately, he doesn't know that people here can even sacrifice their lives for Kashmir. The abrogation of Article 370 has been a historic decision taken by Modi, and the people of Bharat are both grateful as well as proud of this very decision. The people of Telangana blessed us with 4 seats in 2019. And this time, I am sure that we are going to win 10+ seats in Telangana. This 'double-digit score' of Telangana will certainly make Modi cross 400. Wherever I go, I can only hear the echoes of Modi, Modi. Telangana has decided to choose the 'Lotus', and its love and blessings will make us cross 400 this time,” said Amit Shah.

He further called an acronym for Asaduddin, BRS and Congress- ABC and stated that the current government in Telangana was heavily biased against the Hindus.

“The Telangana government does not give permission for taking out Ram Navami processions. It does not celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day, and opposes the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). It is interested in running Telanaa in accordance with Sharia and Quran,” Amit Shah said.
