Mumbai: Narendra Modi would become the Prime Minister for the third time and Congress would lose the Leader of Opposition post for the third time, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said.
Launching a scathing attack on the I.N.D.I.A. bloc and the Congress, Shinde, who is chief leader of Shiv Sena, said “Congress has survived on cuts, commission and corruption…whereas the BJP-led NDA has neeti (policy) and niyat (intention) and nishtha (commitment).”
According to him, the opposition does not have a ‘jhanda’ (flag) and agenda.
Shinde also hit out at Shiv Sena (UBT) head and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. “Personal ambition and ego of a person had impacted the Shiv Sena,” he said.
“People have faith in us and Modi…he will become the Prime Minister for the third time…you all know the Congress does not have a Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha (after 2014 and 2019 polls)…the Congress is in a pretty bad situation now also,” he said.
