New Delhi: The BJP is going to launch a new series of podcast ahead of the Maharashtra elections on Monday. It will be hosted by senior BJP leader Vinay Sahasrabudhe.
Sahasrabuddhe, former National Vice-President of BJP, has temporarily donned the hat of a podcaster where he will speak to several domain experts, focussing on the Mahayuti government.
The series of podcast, named ‘Nakki Kay Challay?’ or 'What’s exactly happening?’, will be hosted on Sahasrabudhe’s social media platforms, and will also be shared by the BJP.
This podcast series will feature lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, Marathi litterateur Sadananda More, Dalit Chamber founder Milind Kamble, rural development expert Popat Pawar, Pasha Patel, celebrated podcaster Bhau Torsekar, besides Smriti Irani and Devendra Fadnavis, with each podcast lasting less than an hour.
“This is perhaps the first of its kind podcast which has been conducted by a politician to educate voters and help them take a call based on the performance of the incumbent government,” Sahasrabuddhe said.
In the podcast, Nikam said that while the bureaucracy was unsure, it was former chief minister and current deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis who insisted that David Headley depose before a court in India as witness and that deposition eventually helped India conclusively unearth the conspiracy of Pakistan behind 26/11 attack.
INikam has also said that in his experience, BJP leaders like PM Modi, Amit Shah or Fadnavis have governed with 'Nation First' approach as their principle.
Apart from that, More has spoken on Marathi as a classical language, while Pawar has spoken on the rural economy of Maharashtra. While Kamble has spoken on Dalit politics of the state, former Union minister Smriti Irani will speak on gender issues.
Assembly Elections 2024 | The Maharashtra Assembly polls will take place against the backdrop of a fractured political landscape in the western state where the Shiv Sena and NCP will be going up against the Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar factions, even as the BJP and Congress try to make their mark. Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, the JMM faces a new challenge after Hemant Soren's recent arrest and Champai, a longstanding party member, joining the BJP. The Haryana election resulted in a shock loss for Congress, which was looking to galvanize on the Lok Sabha poll performance, while J&K also saw the grand old party eventually stepping away from the cabinet, with Omar Abdullah's JKNC forming government. It remains to be seen if the upcoming polls help BJP cement its position further or provide a fillip to I.N.D.I.A.
