Let us take a look at what is Legislative Assembly
The Legislative Assembly is the real centre of power in a state as it serves as the main general assembly at the state level. Legislative Assemblies comprise of MLAs, who are elected from the different constituencies of the state. The population of each state determines how many seats each Assembly has, and this number is subject to change over time due to redistricting and population fluctuations.
The maximum strength of an assembly must not exceed 500 or not fewer than 60. However, some of the states like Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Goa have been allowed to have smaller Legislative Assemblies.
In states where there are bicameral legislature, for instance in Mahasrahtra, the Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the state legislature. In such cases, Legislative Council is the upper house.
A state Legislative Assembly may be dissolved in a state of emergency, by the Governor on request of the Chief Minister, or if a motion of no confidence is passed against the ruling majority party or coalition.

In the case of ordinary bills, the will of the state Legislative Assembly prevails.
Assembly Elections 2024 | The Maharashtra Assembly polls will take place against the backdrop of a fractured political landscape in the western state where the Shiv Sena and NCP will be going up against the Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar factions, even as the BJP and Congress try to make their mark. Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, the JMM faces a new challenge after Hemant Soren's recent arrest and Champai, a longstanding party member, joining the BJP. The Haryana election resulted in a shock loss for Congress, which was looking to galvanize on the Lok Sabha poll performance, while J&K also saw the grand old party eventually stepping away from the cabinet, with Omar Abdullah's JKNC forming government. It remains to be seen if the upcoming polls help BJP cement its position further or provide a fillip to I.N.D.I.A.
