Ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls, all eyes are on the seat sharing in the state. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday said that he will be having discussion with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding the pending decisions on seat sharing ahead of the polls.

Meanwhile, Raut took a jibe at the BJP and alleged how 'ED, CBI are like the Bishnoi gang of BJP'.

"People like me have gone to jail and come back, we know who the targets are and how and what the BJP will do," he said, ANI reported.

"These are the Bishnoi gang of the BJP, although they do not have any weapons in their hands, they have weapons like CBI, ED and using those weapons they are targeting us and despite facing all this, we are standing in front of them," he said.

Soon after, Congress leader Atul Londhe Patil, as quoted by PTI supported Raut's statement and said as the "BJP has carried out 'political encounter' against Shiv Sena and NCP through ED, Income-Tax and CBI. Patil also stated that what Raut said is correct."

Further he slammed the BJP saying that the party has worked against the Constitution and the Election Commission of India works as 'Election Commission of BJP'.

With the final seat sharing talks being under way, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi is set to name its candidates soon, with NCP (SP) leader Sharad Pawar stating that on 200 seats, the alliance has already reached a consensus.

The BJP too in the state has shortlisted at least 3 to 5 names which were finalised earlier this week. As is the norm in the BJP, at least 35-40 per cent of the sitting MLAs could be dropped.
