The exit polls released on Sunday shortly after the end of the final phase of the Lok Sabha Polls predict the BJP-led NDA will return to power in the 6 West-Central states and union territories of Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Exit polls put the BJP-led combines combing over a complete win in the regions of both the single Lok Sabha seats in union territories Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The polls also say the party will retain power in Goa with both seats.
In Maharashtra, the BJP-led combine is set to 38-42 seats depending on various exit polls, with the UPA taking the remaining seats. The polls show a small reduction in the NDA's numbers from 2014, where the combine won 43 seats. Maharashtra sends 48 lawmakers to the Lok Sabha.
In Gujarat, which has been a bastion of the BJP for more than 2 decades, the party will return in strong form with polls suggesting the party will win 20-23 out of the 26 seats.
In Madhya Pradesh, the polls suggest the NDA will breach the 2/3rd majority mark with 21-27 seats. Madhya Pradesh sends 29 lawmakers to the Lok Sabha.
