Mandya Lok Sabha constituency JD(S)-Congress coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy and his mother Anitha Kumaraswamy visited Sringeri Temple and had the darshana of Goddess Sharada on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media, Nikhil Kumaraswamy said, “The voters in Mandya have already taken a decision and the results will be in my favour. I don’t consider exit poll results seriously. In 2004 election, a few exit polls had predicted that JD(S) will win only two seats. However, the party had won 58 seats. The voters in Mandya constituency are in my favour.”
MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy said, “I expect the victory of my son Nikhil. The JD(S) will win six seats. We have been visiting Sringeri Temple often. I am confident that the voters have blessed Nikhil. We came here to seek the blessings of Goddess Sharada.”
Further, she said, “The BJP has been issuing a deadline for coalition government since the beginning. All their tactics to destabilise the government will not work.”
