Chennai: Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK on Tuesday extended support to its ally Congress in Telangana and asked its wings to form an election working committee to ensure a “large margin of victory” for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidates.
In a statement, the DMK asked its wings to begin working for the Congress in Telangana which goes to polls on November 30.
“For the upcoming 2023 Telangana State Legislative Assembly Election, which will be held on November 30, all DMK wings and cadres in Telangana are asked to form an election working committee and work hard with the Congress party to ensure a large margin of victory for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidates,” the DMK statement said.
In response, the Congress’ Telangana unit thanked DMK for its support.
“Congress will win Telangana along with all its like-minded allies who are standing by us in this fight against the tyrannical BRS regime,” the statement added.
