Asking voters to choose between ever vigilant Chowkidar and corrupt dynasty politics played by Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he succeeded in limiting terrorism to one state while rest of India was saved from communal trouble. He said he was pained by the way the Congress had raised suspicion over the manner the cross border terrorism was tackled by Indian armed forces.
Addressing an election meeting at the Bhootpur college grounds in Amistanpur of Mahbubnagar district of Telangana on Friday, the PM said that the BJP led government at centre also put an end to reservation-based politics by extending reservation to the economically weaker sections on forward castes.
Coming heavily on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for relying on rituals and beliefs, the prime minister said that Telangana is run by Tantriks and not by KCR. “KCR went for early elections knowing that it would cost more to the exchequer. But then did not expand cabinet for three months again on the advice of Tantriks,” he observed. He pointed out several central schemes such as “Aayushman Bharat” were not implemented by KCR fearing goodwill for Modi.
Later, the PM took a chopper to address another election rally in Kurnool of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
