The actor, who was suffering from jaundice, is survived by his parents and brother. Mayur debuted in the Kannada film Sparsha, but could not stay in the limelight for a long time. He acted in the movies Nanagoskara, Neela, Poorvapara, Anand, Uppi Dada MBBS, Prema Parva and Preethi Mado Hudugarella. He was cast in the lead role in a film titled Lovelavike in 2001, which was never released.
The actor had also played a role in Phani Ramachandra’s Danda Pindagalu, a popular soap in a leading Kannada television channel. The last rites of the actor was performed at the Banashankari crematorium.
