India will screen Bollywood hits like 'Jodha Akbar' and 'Dil Chahta Hai' in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar at a festival to be organised by the Ministry of Culture between February and March to strengthen its cultural ties with these countries.

A dance-drama on celebrated Indian epic, Ramayana, is another item that the Culture Ministry has planned for ‘Festival of India’ which is set to begin in the Lao People's Democratic Republic from February 9. This rendition will be performed in ballet form by a group of artistes from Kalakshetra foundation, Chennai, V Srinivas, a joint secretary of Culture Ministry, said here on Tuesday. The Festival of India will be a 6-day event in Cambodia, beginning on February 14, a 10-day long event in Vietnam, beginning from March 6, and a 4-day event in Myanmar, beginning March 17.

The events will also showcase a large number of Indian cuisine.
