Satana, who played the femme fatale in a number of 60's slasher hits died at her home in Nevada on Friday night of heart failure, said her long time agent Siouxzan Perry.
The curvaceous star had a large cult following and once dated none other than Elvis Presley, reported Los Angeles Times.
Born Tura Luna Pascual Yamaguchi in Hokkaido, Japan, Satana moved to the US where she had a troubled upbringing.Like many Asian families living in America during World War II she was held in a California internment camp before eventually settling in Chicago.
As a young girl she led a wayward lifestyle, and at 13 moved to Los Angeles where she tried, and failed, to make it as a blues singer.
Using a fake ID to fool employers about her real age, she went on to work as an exotic dancer and posed for nude photographs, where she reportedly made up to USD 1500 a week.
Her break through film role came when she was cast as the outlaw Varla in Russ Meyers 'Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!'.After a number of film roles she later worked in a hospital, as well as a dispatcher for the Los Angeles Police Department.Satana is survived by two daughters, Kalani and Jade, and two sisters, Pamela and Kim.
