The series would be aired on kids channels Cartoon Network and POGO, which are part of the Turner network, DQE said in a statement.
The exclusive agreement takes the tally to more than 40 local titles, which have been acquired and/or produced by Turner in India, it added.
"This deal will help in adding to our library of Indian content and embarking on a new and exciting venture for producing Indian content," DQE Group chairman and CEO Tapaas Chakravarti said.
'Balkand', sequel 1 and 2, follow the debut of 'Balkand' on POGO in 2009. The series has been created and produced by DQE. The sequels comprise of 70 minute animated features, split into 3 episodes of 22 minutes.
"Promoting and supporting Indian animation is a critical mandate of Turner in India. We have been aggressively executing our 'Desi Toons' strategy," Krishna Desai, director, Programming, Turner International India said.
