Popular actor Dulquer Salmaan on Saturday confirmed that his upcoming Tamil movie Hey Sinamika will hit the screens on March 3. The reel Gemini Ganesan described the flick as a ' quirky rom-com' and shared a new poster, piquing the curiosity of fans. Hey Sinamika has been directed by choreographer Brindha Gopal and marks her directorial debut. The flick features Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari as the leading ladies.

Dulquer, Malayalam legend Mammootty's son, made an impact in the Tamil film industry with his work in OK Kanmani that hit the screens in 2015. The Mani Ratnam-helmed hit featured an engaging narrative and starred Nithya Menen as the female protagonist He played 'Kadhal Mannan' in the Telugu movie Mahanati, which was dubbed in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam. He returned to Kollywood with the well-received Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, which did well at the box office. It remains to be seen whether Hey Sinamika helps him further consolidate his standing in the industry.

DQ, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. He was last seen in Kurup, which emerged as a blockbuster despite mixed reviews. He is awaiting the release of Salute, which features him in the role of a cop. has been penned by Bobby-Sanjay and features Diana Penty as the female protagonist. The Bollywood star garnered a fair deal of attention with her work in Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair. She also played the titular role in the sleeper hit Happy Bhag Jayegi.

Salute will be the second film to feature Dulquer in the role of a police officer. He had previously donned the khaki for Vikramadithyan, which featured him in a guest role. The buzz is that Salute will be 'massier' than the star's previous releases, which makes it a gamechanger for the hero. The is set to collaborate with National Award winner Rajkummar Rao for a web series to be directed by Raj and DK, who redefined the tenets of the web space with The Family Man.
