Celebrated filmmaker and producer Karan Johar has secured the highly coveted North theatrical distribution rights for Jr NTR's upcoming blockbuster film, Devara.
Karan took to social media and announced that he is honoured and extremely grateful to be a part of - Man of Masses Jr NTR’s Devara. He wrote: "A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment is CLOSER THAN EVER BEFORE!🌊

The announcement comes amidst mounting anticipation surrounding the movie, which has been generating buzz for its stellar cast, gripping storyline, and high production values.
Karan Johar is known for his keen eye for promising projects and track record of delivering box office successes, and has once again demonstrated his astute business acumen by acquiring the distribution rights for the lucrative North Indian market.
The acquisition of the North theatrical distribution rights further solidifies the image of Karan Johar as a powerhouse in the Indian film industry, as he is known for their ability to identify and nurture promising talent and projects.
Earlier, Karan through his company Dharma Productions had earlier backed SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning, The Ghazi Attack, Rajinikanth's 2.0 and others.
Devara: Part 1 is an upcoming action drama set in the forgotten coastal lands and is written and directed by Koratala Siva and stars RRR fame Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 10 October 2024, coinciding with Dussehra.
