How deep is love? Does life matter more than love? After “Moggina Manasu”, Shashank chooses to dig deep into the mine of love and comes up with quite a few nuggets in
““Krishna”n Love Story”. Foremost is the envious job of polishing and extracting the best out of the talented actors who are already making waves, or in some cases, getting stereotyped.

Persevering with a posh Radhika Pandit as Geetha, the director uses her as the pivot for his Krishna (Ajay Rao) and Narendra (Pradeep). Two youths with diverse background but same ambition: to covet Geetha’s affection. Backing him is a well thought out screenplay.

M L Prasanna’s dialogues are noteworthy, including the several bleeps. Shekhar Chandra, V Sridhar Sambhram, K M Prakash and Mohan B Kere are all to be appreciated for providing a dream feast for the senses. But Shashank is guilty of showing a glimpse of interesting possibilities with a strong subject, only to veer away at the last minute to something commercially viable.

Geetha’s character is the strongest; the director renders it weak in the climax. Ajay Rao is a perfect foil to Radhika. The climax is a clever mixing of the topography of the Hogenakal and the Shivanasamudram. ““Krishna”n Love Story” is the perfect tale for the current monsoon.
