It will choreographer-turned-actor Arshad's first stint as a judge while Shilpa, the dancing diva of Bollywood has earlier judged another dance show.
Vaibhavi, a well known name in film industry has had the biggest Bollywood stars from Madhuri Dixit to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dancing on her tunes. She has also won National Award for Best Choreography for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. She has been a celebrity judge on shows like 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' and 'Nach Baliye 3' earlier.
"The show is primarily about great dancing with celebrities set against a background of gender competition. Hence we wanted a great female and a male dancer and an ace choreographer who has made both men and women dance. The formidable trio will not only bring tough judging but great fun quotient to the show," Anupam Vasudev, Executive Vice President, Marketing, STAR India Pvt Ltd, said.
Adding a unique twist to the format, the participants will be assessed not only for their dancing talent but will also for their performances on different theme based dances, innovative use of props, impromptu challenge facing abilities, strategies to win the battle and team spirit.
The show set to debut on May 1 on Star Plus will be hosted by television actors Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani of the 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' fame.
'Zara Nach Ke Dikha' will see nine 'Masakalis' (female participants) and macho 'Mastkalandars' (male participants) bringing the dance floor alive with their grooves to win the battle of sexes.
Apart from Rakhi and her ex-boyfriend Abhishek Avasthi, TV stars like Sangeeta Ghosh, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aamir Ali, Angad Hasija among others are part of the show.
Not to be left behind are young prodigies 'Slumdog Millionaire' child star Ayush Khedekar and Sparsh Khanchandani of 'Uttaran' fame who will too compete in opposite teams.
