Hrithik Roshan's first look as Patna-based scholar Anand Kumar in the upcoming biopic titled "Super 30" was unveiled on Twitter today.
Phantom films released the picture from their Twitter account by tweeting: "The first page in Benaras...From the first page in Benares! @ihrithik as Anand Kumar! #Super30 @Super30Film @RelianceEnt @NGEMovies @anandteacher."
An hour later, Hrithik also tweeted the picture from his account and said: "And the Journey begins."
The picture was subsequently widely shared on social media as people began expressing approval for Hrithik's first look for the film. Some also used Twitter to post humorous responses to the picture.
The movie, which is being directed by Vikas Bahl is expected to be released on the eve of Republic Day, January 25 of next year.
Who is Anand Kumar?
Anand Kumar is an Indian mathematician who shot to fame around 2009 after he got recognized by western media such as Discovery Channel and New York Times for his Super 30 programme, which he started in Patna, Bihar in 2002 to coach economically backward students for IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Kumar has enjoyed phenomenal success in his endeavours as he has been able to send 396 students to the IITs(till 2017) according to newspaper reports.
Since being recognized, he has been invited to prestigious academic institutions like Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University to speak about his work.
