Update: The makers of actor Pawan Kalyan's courtroom drama Vakeel Saab have released the trailer of the film much to the delight of movie buffs. The video features the mass hero in a new avatar and hits the right notes with its intense presentation. Actor Prakash Raj too gets ample screentime, indicating that he has a meaty role in director Venu Sriram's magnum opus.

The trailer of actor Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie Vakeel Saab will be released at 6 pm on Monday much to the delight of 'Power Star' fans. The video is likely to feature plenty of hard-hitting dialogues and a couple of action scenes. The film is a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink and revolves around the importance of consent while highlighting that 'no means no'.

The courtroom drama features Shruti Haasan as the leading lady opposite PK and is her second Telugu release of the year. The Race Gurram star was last seen in the Sankranti hit Krack, co-starring 'Mass Maharaja' Ravi Teja. She will be hoping to consolidate her standing in the industry with Vakeel Saab, which marks her third collaboration with her Gabbar Singh and Katamaryadu co-star. The cast also includes Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla. The Darbar actor has made her presence felt in Tollywood with films such as Gentleman and Jai Lava Kusa and many feel this may be a game-changer for her.

Interestingly, Pink was remade in Tamil in 2019 as Nerkonda Paarvai with Ajith Kumar in the lead. The Kollywood version emerged as a big hit despite being an 'urban film' and received rave reviews for capturing the essence of the original while doing justice to Thala's reel image. It remains to be seen whether the Telugu remake lives up to the standards set by the Tamil version.

Vakeel Saab is slated to release in theatres on April 9.

Pawan Kalyan, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. The Tholi Prema actor will soon be seen in the eagerly-awaited movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which has been directed by Krish. The period drama revolves around the journey of an 'outlaw' and has been shot on an impressive budget. It may feature Jacqueline Fernandez as the leading lady. The biggie is expected to hit the screens during Sankranti 2022.

PK is also working on the Telugu remake of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which featured Prithviraj and Biju Menon.
