The CPI-JCC(J)-BSP alliance in Chhattisgarh has announced its first list of candidates, having five names.
Apart from two seats, Konta and Dantewada, the CPI has been given further seats, where a joint candidate would be placed.
Manish Kunjam, former MLA having influence in the Bastar division who has been raising issues of tribal, has been put against Kawasi Lakhma, deputy leader of Opposition and a Congress sitting MLA from Konta.
The other candidates announced are Mangal Ram Kashyap from Jagdalpur general seat, Kondagaon candidate is Ramchandra Nag, Keshkal candidate is Radhika Sodhi, and Nandram Sodhi in Dantewada, said Chhattisgarh state secretary R D C P Rao
C R Bakshi, central control commission secretary and central programme commission member of CPI, when contacted said that the CPI would be putting more candidates apart from these in Bastar.
