IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who returned to a hero's welcome on Friday, says he faced mental harassment during the course of his 60-hour capture in Pakistan, reports ANI.
A Tweet by ANI quoting sources said that Abhinandan said he was not subjected to physical torture, however.
Soon after his return, Abhinandan was put under "cooling down" and underwent a series of medical tests at the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), a compact and specialised medical evaluation centre for aircrew.
Earlier today, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Abhinandan and conveyed to him that the entire nation is proud of his courage and determination.
