Yet another deepfake video of actor Alia Bhatt has created quite a stir on social media with some in awe of the technology and others criticising it.
The recent deep fake shows the Bollywood celebrity down a GRWM (get read with me) trend where she appears to be trying out a black kurta and putting make up on.
"AI is getting dangerous day by day," commented one user on the Instagram post that now remains deleted while another wrote: "I really hope you have consent for using the AI that uses real human faces."

Even though the profile has a disclaimer in the bio that clarifies that all videos on the page have been made using AI "only for entertainment purpose," several Instagram users thought that the account admin actually looked like Alia Bhatt in real life as many of them commented: "You look like Alia Bhatt."
In another video the admin used a clip from the actor's movie Gully Boy in an attempt to show Alia Bhatt's reaction after she finds out these videos insinuating that her career will be over since she sees these reels.
"Don't worry this is AI chill," the video reads in the end.
Turns out, this entire Instagram page is full of deepakes of Alia Bhatt seemingly used for promotional purposes. Apart from Alia, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor's faces have also been used on this page.
With over 50K followers on Instagram, the admin also has a YouTube channel with similar content.
This is not the first time Alia Bhatt has fallen prey to deepfakes.
On May 7 when the actor set the floor of Met Gala on fire wearing a saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, a deepfake of the actor in a red saree went viral around the same time. The video was posted in the same account - unfixface.
