All you need to know about newly elected president Droupadi MurmuThe former Jharkhand governor and the BJP-led NDA's presidential candidate, Droupadi Murmu, who found many other backers along her campaign trail, won an easy victory over the opposition's pick Yashwant Sinha. Murmu crossed the 50 per cent mark after the 3rd round of counting to emerge victorious in the poll over her rival Sinha. While an official announcement of her win is expected after all votes are counted, here we take a look at some must-know facts about the 15th President of India, Droupadi Murmu, the first woman tribal leader to hold the country's highest constitutional post.
