The outfit, which goes by the name 'Sanatana Dharma Protection Wing' or 'Narasimha Varahi' will strive for the protection of Sanatana Dharma in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, reports The Hindu.

JSP, which is in alliance with the ruling TDP and BJP in Andhra Pradesh, has considerable stakes in 175 Assembly constituencies in the state, with 21 seats and two Lok Sabha seats, making it the second largest party.

According to the publication, Pawan Kalyan made the remarks on the new JSP wing 'Narasimha Varahi' on Friday at the launch of the Deepam 2.0 scheme at Jagannathapuram in Eluru district. Deepam 2.0 scheme is Chandrababu Naidu's initiative in the state to provide clean cooking energy to women.

Pawan Kalyan said that the country wouldn't be the same without Sanatana Dharma and any social media post against this and Hinduism wouldn't be tolerated.

“Some values should be upheld when visiting Hindu temples and practising Sanatana Dharma. One should understand that the country will not remain the way it is without Sanatana Dharma, which is a guiding lamp not just for the country but for the world. Any posts on social media that mock Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma will not be tolerated. As a step in that direction, the JSP has floated the Sanatana Dharma Protection Wing or Narasimha Varahi group," the publication quoted him as saying.

He also added that any attempt to incite communal disharmony should not also be tolerated, warning YSRCP leaders of "severe consequences" for trying to "harm the integrity of the nation or incite caste and communal violence."
