Social activist Anna Hazare will be in the national capital this week to decide on his future strategy to fight for Jan Lokpal legislation.

“Anna will arrive on Monday and interact with India Against Corruption (IAC) members and others on the amendments to the Bill on Lokpal. He will formulate a strategy accordingly,” said Sunita Godara, a senior IAC member.

The anti-corruption campaigner will also decide on a nation wide campaign against corruption set for launch from January 30, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
This would be Anna’s first visit to New Delhi after reviving the IAC committee in November. The co-ordination committee of the IAC will hold its meeting during his stay.

The committee comprises Medha Patkar, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Gaur, Sunita Godara and Rakesh Rafik among others as members. Anna will also meet students and will initiate recruitment of volunteers for his anti-graft campaign, an IAC source said.

Meanwhile, Anna gave strong indications of a truce with Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by issuing statements assuring support to the AAP candidates in the elections. Similar statements have come from Kiran Bedi, who had initially opposed Kejriwal taking to politics.
