The Congress on Wednesday fielded Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s kin Sanjay Singh Masani for the November 28 Assembly elections.

Masani’s name figured in the fourth list of 29 party candidates released by the Congress on Wednesday.

Masani had joined the Congress last week and made a strong pitch for making state unit chief Kamal Nath as the next chief minister of the state.

The Congress has so far declared 213 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, but both Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are missing from the party’s lists.

The Congress also changed candidates from Sironj and Burhanpur. It has Masharat Shaheed in place of Ashok Tyagi from Sironj, while Ravindra Mahajan will be in the fray from Burhanpur in place of Hamid Kazi.
