With 3,377 fresh coronavirus cases and 34 deaths, Karnataka's Covid-19 tally and cumulative fatalities reached 8,35,773 and 11,281 respectively on Wednesday, the health department said.
The total infections, comprise 7,88,780 discharges cumulatively including 8,045 on Wednesday and 35,693 total active cases including 928 in the ICU, a department bulletin said.
Bengaluru Urban district accounted for 1,953 fresh infections and 16 deaths.
Cumulatively, the city has reported 3,43,507 infections, 3,917 deaths, 3,20,783 discharges, including 5,827 on Wednesday, and 18,806 active cases.
Surat reported 214 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the highestfor a district in Gujarat, taking its tally to 36,759, the state health department said.
Two patients succumbed to the infection during the day, raising the district's Covid-19 fatalities to 1,023, it said.
Also, 186 patients were discharged from hospital following recovery, the department said.
While the city reported 158 new cases and as many recoveries, the rural areas of the district recorded 56 new infections and 28 discharges, said the department in a release.
Haryana on Wednesday reported 1,952 fresh novel coronavirus cases taking the caseload to 1,74,082 while 19 more fatalities took the Covid-19 related death toll in the state to 1,836, official data showed.
Of the fatalities, four were from Faridabad, three each from Gurugram, Hisar and Rohtak districts and two each from Rewari, Bhiwani and Jind districts, according to the state health department's daily bulletin.

The tally of coronavirus cases in Gujarat rose to 1,76,608 with 975 new cases being reported on Wednesday, the state health department said.
With six fatalities, the state's Covid-19 death toll went up to 3,740, it said.
At the same time, the number of recoveries outnumbered new cases, with 1,022 patients getting dischargedon Wednesday, the department said.
Total number of recovered cases in Gujarat increased to 1,60,470 which pushed up the state's recovery rate to 90.86 per cent.

A 34-year-old coronavirus positive man, a resident of Manimajra, died at a government hospital here, as per the medical bulletin.
There are 671 active cases as of now, it said.
A total of 51 patients were discharged after they recovered from infection, taking the number of cured persons to 13,802, according to the bulletin.
