No 'official' work allowed if bail is granted, Supreme Court tells Arvind Kejriwal during hearing
The Supreme Court on Tuesday began hearing jailed AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal's bail plea, with the representation for the Delhi CM telling the apex court that he would not deal with any excise policy case-related files, if granted interim bail.
SC seeks Delhi excise policy scam case files from ED before arrest of CM Kejriwal.
SC also questions ED on time taken to probe Delhi excise policy scam case, saying it has taken 2 years to unearth something. In response, ED said that initially Kejriwal was not the focus of investigation and his "role became clear" at later stage.
In some respite for Kejriwal, the SC said it is an extraordinary situation as Kejriwal is CM, and the court needs to consider his interim bail.
