PIL in Delhi High Court to stop CM Arvind Kejriwal from issuing directions while in ED's custody
A public interest litigation has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking directions to prevent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been arrested in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam, from issuing orders while in the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) custody.

The petitioner, Surjit Singh Yadav, has said in the PIL that the issuance of such orders by Kejriwal in the chief minister's capacity is against the legal framework as well as the principle of fair and proper investigation.

"Matter has been passed over. Will be taken up after some time, when the court finishes the supplementary list," the court says.
As Delhi HC hears Kejriwal's plea, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) S V Raju sought time to file a detailed reply to CM's plea. Advocate Raju stated that they got a copy of the petition only yesterday.

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, on Wednesday said in a video address that despite multiple raids the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was unable to find any cash related to the alleged excise policy "scam".
She further added that tomorrow, March 28, the AAP national convenor will reveal "everything" in court, including where the money from the "scam" is. She also said that Kejriwal will back up his revelations with proof.
