New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) The Delhi Police on Friday asked ninefarmerleaders to join the investigation in connection with the violence at Red Fort on January 26, officials said.
According to officials, the special investigation team (SIT) of Delhi Police has askedfarmerleaders Rakesh Tikait, Pawan Kumar, Raj Kishore Singh, Tajender Singh Virk, Jitender Singh, Trilochan Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Harpreet Singh and Jagtar Singh Bajwa to join the investigation.

Heavy police deployment at Tikri, Singhu borders
Delhi's border points at Tikri and Singhu remained under heavy police deployment on Friday in the aftermath of the violence that broke out during a tractor parade by farmers in the national capital on Republic Day, officials said.
Personnel of the Delhi Police, along with those of the paramilitary forces, have been deployed at the borders. Several roads have been closed and the traffic police have asked the commuters to take other routes.
