"The firing incident happened inside a police station. BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad fired at the leader of Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena leader," Sena (UBT) spokesperson.
"We have had such a big victory after a lot of struggle. When MLAs want to be together and face the Vote of Confidence together, what is the issue with it?...You have seen that governments with a majority have been tweeted...So, we are doing this as per strategy. We have benefitted from this strategy and we will benefit in future too...When a CM can betray his own MLAs - in Bihar - all of these should be taken care of...," he added.
Ramesh is one of the many Congress voices that have said that the BJP tried to destablise the government in Jharkhand. Congress has already moved their party members to Hyderabad ahead of the floor test, and Rahul Gandhi went on to say that the I.N.D.I.A. bloc had successfully foiled the saffron party's intent.
The MLAs of the JMM-led alliance have been put up in Hyderabad's Leonia Resort with Deepa Dasmunshi, AICC Telangana in-charge, looking after all the arrangements.
His comments come amid Opposition allegations against the BJP for 'attempting' to 'destablise' the situation there.
Poonawalla in a harsh swipe at the I.N.D.I.A. bloc highlighted its many instances of internal unrest.
"Sometimes it is Mamata didi who has now said that Rahul Gandhi is a migratory bird and he cones for photo ops, that the Congress won't even have 40 seats," he noted.
Poonawalla added, "In Punjab, we have seen AAP vs Congress."
"In Maharashtra, Uddhav Sena vs Congress," he continued.
"In Kerala, Left vs Congress," he further said.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections this year, it seems the BJP is riding high on the Ram mandir wave, while the I.N.D.I.A. bloc is struggling to put up a united opposition.
"It is ironic that one hand, we saw the pranpratishtha of Ram Mandir. On the other hand, ever since Nyay Yatra started, the illegal structure of INDI Alliance is constantly being demolished," the spokesperson pointed out.
"This entire INDI Alliance has no mission or vision for the country. It only has contradiction, confusion, division and apna apna corruption and ambition. So, we see a new fight emerging in the INDIA Alliance everyday. Can these people ever run the country together? Rahul Gandhi should forget his Nyay Yatra. It should be 'bye bye yatra'. Ever since he started, first Mayawati said bye bye to their alliance, then Milind Deora said bye bye to Congress, then Mamata Didi, then AAP in Punjab, then Nitish Kumar. Very soon, the public is going to say bye bye...," he said.
The Congress leader's remarks come at a time when TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has said she's unsure whether the Congress will even win 40 seats this time in the Lok Sabha.
The grand old party is facing some issues over seat sharing with both TMC and AAP reportedly having walked away from the table in Bengal and Punjanb, respectively.
Rahul meanwhile, spread the same message of 'love' against the 'hatred' BJP and RSS are 'spreading across the country', as he claimed.
The shooting of a Shinde faction Sena leader by a BJP MLA has set off a political storm in Maharashtra. While the issue is expected to be raised in the Parliament on Monday, Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said "..Firing incident is happening in the home town of CM Eknath Shinde and the MLA openly says that Shinde forced him to shoot, that the CM should resign...Today, it happened at a Police station. The manner in which the CMO has become a den of goons, I fear that such incidents can take place even at Mantralaya and CMO."
The shooting reportedly took place over a land dispute and the BJP MLA has now been taken into custody. 'Yes, I shot (him) myself. I have no regrets,' Ganpat Gaikwad, the BJP MLA, said.
As elections will come close, there will be more such confrontations: Congress on Maharashtra shooting incident
The BJP leader slammed the Opposition behaviour in the state Assembly during Governor Anandiben Patel's address, saying, "Yesterday, the Governor presented the details of state government's work before the public. However, the behaviour that the opposition, particularly the Samajwadi Party, showed in the Assembly is sad and we condemn it. Samajwadi Party has become a party of anarchists. People of state have rejected them repeatedly."
Jairam Ramesh, meanwhile said the yatra moved with the ideology of 'harmony' and 'unity' which he feels was the opposite of the ideology 'that believes in division'.
NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) National Spokesperson Clyde Crasto says, "This incident inside a police station makes one feel that this is an indication of the horrific times that are going to come in Maharashtra. If there is an argument between two ruling parties - BJP and Shinde Sena - and a BJP MLA fires bullets, he can shoot anyone tomorrow. You have to understand that the law and order situation in Maharashtra is bad...What is the Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis doing?...He has failed as a Home Minister. He should resign
BJP leader J P Nadda on Saturday attacked the Congress and Rahul Gandhi over the latter's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Calling it the 'Bharat Todo Anyay Yatra', Nadda also slammed Congress MP DK Suresh for his 'separate nation' remark.
"He forgot that India is united... Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, all are silent on this," Nadda said.
Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain has said that situation in Jharkhand was not conducive for keeping the MLAs there after Hemant Soren's resignation and arrest.
"In Bihar when the CM resigns and takes oath again, they take just 15 to 20 minutes, but when the Jharkhand CM resigns, and he gets arrested, when the new successor was already named, when 47 MLAs were paraded outside the Raj Bhavan, the Governor takes more than two days, trying to allow the BJP to do horse trading."
On the announcement of Bharat Ratna for veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, RJD MP Manoj Jha says, "40 years of this country have been spent in the dispute whose creator was Lal Krishna Advani, the temple-mosque dispute. It seems that now there has been a displacement of ideals. There is no one in the society with a bigger message than Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Why is Prime Minister Narendra Modi not paying attention to him?
