On the day of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray took potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah through a cartoon.
This is not the first time that Raj Thackeray has taken a dig at the prime minister and the BJP chief. In fact, the Modi-Shah duo seems to be Raj's favourite target as he has taken them on over several issues through cartoons.
Of late, the BJP and the Congress are battling for the Mahatma's legacy with Congress president Rahul Gandhi set to visit Sevagram and address a rally at Wardha later in the day. The rally is being described as the launch of Congress's campaign for the next Lok Sabha polls.
As for the BJP, the party has planned a 'Cleanliness Yatra' as part of Modi's pet project - the Swachh Bharat campaign - which has centred around the Mahatma's dream of a 'Clean India’.
