"The plea has been accepted and the next court hearing will take place Aug 25," said R.K. Pandey, lawyer of petitioner Prakash Thakur.

The application filed in a Bhopal district court sought action against Hazare, his associate Arvind Kejriwal as well as seven others, including singers Kailash Kher and Alka Yagnik, for hoisting the national flag after sunset during a TV show last week, Pandey said. He alleged the flag was hoisted inside a room after sunset.

“The national flag cannot be hoisted at night, it should have a specific size and cannot be hoisted as a showpiece on stage. Hazare and others have violated the law in three ways so we have lodged a complaint,” said Pandey.

Hazare was sent to seven days' judicial custody hours after he was detained by Delhi Police Tuesday ahead of his fast-unto-death in the national capital for a stronger anti-corruption Lokpal bill.
