The metropolis witnessed waterlogging in several areas as incessant showers lashed the city. Flight operations at the Mumbai International Airport were hit as the runway was closed for landings and take off due to poor visibility in the morning during intense rains. The flights were resumed after almost an hour or two, but the poor visibility affected the number of take offs and landings.
As usual, the western, central and harbour suburban train services were affected under the impact of heavy downpour in the morning. The trains were running half an hour to one hour behind schedule, and the office goers had a tough time reaching their work places.
