New Delhi: Congress on Saturday said that it hopes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will "find the time and the inclination" to also visit Manipur "which has been experiencing pain" for over 15 months, as it welcomed his visit to disaster-hit Wayanad in Kerala.
"It is a good thing that the non-biological PM is in Wayanad today. It was a devastating tragedy. After this, he is scheduled to visit Ukraine to stop the war once again," Congress General Secretary (Communications) Jairam Ramesh said sarcastically on 'X'.
"Hopefully he will find the time and the inclination before then to also visit Manipur - which has been experiencing so much pain, anguish, and agony for over 15 months now," he added.
The Congress has been targeting Modi for not visiting the ethnic violence hit Manipur for over a year despite repeated demands.
