After meeting the victims of Tamil Nadu Hooch tragedy, which claimed the lives of 56 people, MNM party chief Kamal Haasan said that the victims will have to understand they have exceeded their limit and they have been careless.
"They have to be careful. They have to take care of their health," he told ANI. The actor-politician further went on to request the government to create psychiatric centres to counsel people who drink.
Patra said that the appointment of pro-tem Speaker is through a convention, not a law. He also accused the Congress of trying to disturb the process.
"The convention says that the MP having the longest period of unbroken service can be appointed as pro-tem Speaker. So, in this 18th Lok Sabha, Bhartruhari Mahtab qualifies to become the pro-tem Speaker. As far as (Congress MP) K Suresh is concerned, he has served as an MP 8 times non-consecutively," he said.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday attacked the Congress party over the Tamil Nadu Hooch tragedy. "I am shocked that the Congress has not uttered a word against this. In a state where licensed liquor is available from shops run by the government called 'TASMAC'. Despite that, in the middle of the city of Kalakurchi chemical-based illicit liquor is served," Sitharaman said.
Congress is in alliance with the ruling DMK in the southern state.
“I believe that the Delhi government should find solutions for areas where there is a water crisis and not do drama. All systems have collapsed here. Only one system of jail, bail and corruption is working under the Delhi government,” said Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva.

JD(S) MLC and son of HD Revanna, Suraj Revanna has been sent to 14-day Judicial custody on Sunday in alleged sexual abuse case, reported ANI. CID is likely to approach the court for custody tomorrow. The next date of hearing is on July 6, said Advocate Nikhil D Kamat.
Samajwadi Party Parliamentary meeting will be held on Monday in Delhi. The meeting will be chaired by party's National President Akhilesh Yadav.
