Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai leaves from Chhattisgarh Sadan, in Delhi to attend a meeting at the BJP headquarters today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting with the BJP CMs and Deputy CMs at party headquarters in Delhi, ANI reported.
Today is the second and final day of the two-day meet.
Union Minister and BJP chief J P Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also present.
The students are protesting the deaths of three UPSC aspirants who lost their lives when the basement of a coaching institute in Central Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar, flooded following heavy rains.
Maliwal told PTI, "“How are such illegal centers opening if there isn't any corruption? It’s a matter of great shame. (Delhi government) Ministers and Mayor should come here immediately and must apologise to the students as well as to the nation.”
BJP leader RP Singh said “I hope Delhi Minister Atishi and LG will take it seriously and will take strict actions against those involved in this."
Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi commented on the coaching centre deaths, she said "It is a very sad incident. As soon as I came to know about it, I reached the spot, NDRF team was already there. It is sad that three students died. I wrote a letter to MCD Commissioner to clearly instruct that a strict action should be taken against the coaching centre violating building bylaws in Delhi, there should be an investigation into the incident, and the culprits should be punished. Also, the officials found responsible should be punished. The Completion Certificate (CC) was issued in 2021, it was clearly mentioned that the basement should only be used for parking or storage."
Union Minister Chirag Paswan said allegations made by Mamata Banerjee in the NITI Aayog meeting were false. He said every minister was given a stipulated amount of time to speak, PTI reported.
“This is a completely false accusation. No one can control the mic other than the person using it. Every CM was given a limited time and as a reminder, it was said that her time was about to end. However, she left the meeting in between. She should have said it there that she wants to speak more. This shows that it was already decided that she will come and will create a ruckus,” he said.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a statement on July 28 that ten lakh subsidized or interest-subvented loans for higher education is directly going to benefit middle-class families and those who want to study in India.
"There is this word employment which I have used, and I did put it out in the media conference in Delhi. For each letter of the word employment, E stands for employment, M stands for middle class and so on. If you go down, that will capture everything which is in this year's budget. We have very clearly laid the emphasis on youth, on MSMEs. Under each category, there will be a set of announcements. So some set of announcements under youth, some set of announcements at the MSME... We are also giving ten lakhs of subsidized or interest-subvented loans for education, higher education. This is directly going to benefit middle-class families and those who want to study in India," she said.

Addressing an event 'Meeting with Intellectuals' in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tries to defend NDA govt's track record in providing jobs, saying, "There have been several schemes in the government for the positions lying vacant in the central government. Between October 2022 and November 2023, every month, there was a programme called 'Rozgar Mela' through which positions were filled up across the country. In every state, ministers used to go, appointments letters were given and PM Modi addressed the meeting. So, in that process, jobs were created and vacant positions were filled in the central government."
In a public announcement, the Jan Suraaj Abhiyan said it is going to form a political party on October 2. In preparation, "a total of 8 separate state-level meetings of more than 1.5 lakh officials associated with the campaign across Bihar are being organised. In these meetings, the process of formation of the party, its leadership, constitution and priorities of the party will be decided with all the officials," read their statement.
Following the NITI Aayog meet that lasted less than a day with CMs getting to speak for '7 minutes', PM Modi also chaired the BJP's internal Chief Ministers' Council meeting, stretched over two days, concluding on Sunday. In it, he discussed how the BJP-ruled states could contribute to making India a $5 trillion economy.
He emphasised conservation efforts of India's heritage and making sure govt schemes reach the masses.
