The Mumbai police has not yet given formal permission for the protest march.

Opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) will hold a protest on Monday in front of the Secretariat, the administrative hub here, accusing the Left government of protecting culprits reportedly mentioned in the Justice K Hema Committee report.
The opposition would also protest against the alleged protection given by the Pinarayi Vijayan government to those who had created and propagated the controversial "kafir" screenshot in Vadakara constituency during the time of the recent Lok Sabha polls.

MUMBAI, DHNS: Amid the BJP's charge that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had shown Chhatrapati Shivaji in poor light in his book The Discovery of India, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera accused the leaders of the saffron party, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, of spreading fake narratives.
“Fadnavis should answer when he reads the book. Nehru had revised his first edition and written to historians in 1936 to send him inputs to make necessary revisions. He was an intellectual giant and had accepted that the first edition was written while he was in jail and had no access to reference material,” Khera said.
“The Mughals did not succeed in breaking Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. But this corrupt government has done what Mughals could never do,” he said.
"The Mahagathbandhan administration in Bihar last year urged the Centre to incorporate the hike in reservation from 50 to 65 per cent in state government jobs and educational institutions in the Ninth Schedule. But they did not do it. The NDA governments at the Centre as well as in the state are against reservation for the deprived section of the society and also against caste census," he said.
"We tend to give tickets to at least 40 Muslims in elections to the 243-strong assembly. The community will also have a fair share of representation in the organization's leadership," Kishor told reporters.
